What means: to do repentance ?

In order to be able to better understand the following cleartext point, it would be very helpful and useful,
to have read before the cleartext point 006 ("Why did Jesus have to be crucified ?").

If you have not read it yet, then I ask you to read it first.

It might be that you are dealing with the question:

"What happens when someone sins - and dies a second later
by an accident or heart attack ? "

Or:

"What would happen if Jesus came back to earth just at the moment,
if I did something wrong - thus I sinned ? - Am I lost then,
because I can not repent it ? "

If such questions do plague you, then I recommend
to read cleartext point 178, because there you will find the answer.

In the bible, we are asked in many places to repent.

But why ?

Because otherwise, we could not exist before God.

"Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God?"
(1 Samuel 6/20)

By his death on the cross, Jesus Christ gave us the possibility,
that we "get rid of" our sins "(see cleartext point 006).

He calls it to do repentance.

But what is the meaning behind these two words ?

Repentance means to think and to reverse.

Related to sin:

1. Recognise sin -

2. seriously regret this sin -

3. and then whole-heartedly try not to repeat this sin.

Repentance does not mean regret to make reparation.

Often, it is not even possible to make any reparations,
for what you have done with words or deeds.

Nevertheless, God and Jesus Christ also forgive such sins (no matter how bad they are),
if one seriously repents the sins committed and really tries not to repeat them.

Important note:

You expect God and Jesus Christ to forgive you your sins.

But are you willing to forgive those who have sinned against you ?

Please read in the cleartext point 078 that we are to forgive our fellow human beings,
for the Lord to forgive us.

In the father's prayer we pray:

"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."
(Matthew 6/12 and Luke 11/4)

Jesus tells Christians that we are even committed to forgiving.
Otherwise, we can not expect God to forgive our sins.

Jesus says:

"Forgive, then (then) will be forgiven you."
(Luke 6/37)

Forgive your fellow men all their misdeeds,
only then will God forgive you.

To do genuine repentance is a vomiting of the soul - a disgust at one's own sin.

God says:

"Then thou shalt remember thy (sinful) ways, and be ashamed ..."
(Ezekiel 16/61)

"And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:
That thou mayest remember, and be confounded (for your past sinful life),
and never open thy mouth (but be humble and grateful) any more because of thy shame,
when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD."
(Ezekiel 16/62-63)

(Please read also the cleartext point 072 on the subject of humility.)

Whoever does sincere repentance, in him (or her)
a feeling begins to grow inwardly that sees sin as something,
which is directed against God.

He (or she) will therefore fight against that which disgusts the Lord.

Since this is done out of love for God and Jesus Christ, he (or she)
es not feel compelled to be forced into something.

Honest repentance therefore always happens on the basis of voluntary action.

Question:

What is a sin?

Answer:

Thinking, saying or doing something,
which contradicts God's laws,
that is a sin.

Sin is a rebellion against God.

All that is directed against the will of God is a sin.

He who sins does something which is wrong in God's eyes -
Or does not do something that is right in God's eyes.

In short,

"... sin is the transgression of the law."
(1 John 3/4)

So what is not right in God's eyes - what is wrong.

One sins when one does what is wrong -
Or does not do what is right.

God establishes in his law what is wrong and what is right.

It is written in the New Testament:

"... For without the law sin was dead.
(If God's law did not exist, no one would know what sin is.)
For I was alive without the law once:
but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
(By God's law I first realised that I lived evil, thus I sinned) ... "
(Romans 7/8-9)

"... for by the law is the knowledge of sin."
(Romans 3/20)

Through God's laws (not only through the Ten Commandments) we know what sin is.

"Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:
for I had not known lust, except the law had said,
(Exodus 20:17):"Thou shalt not covet.
(Romans 7/7)

"Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."
(Romans 7/12)

Jesus said,

"Repent ye ..."
(Mark 1/15)

Jesus Christ warns us, humans:

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish
(You will not get eternal life)."
(Luke 13/3)

And he repeats his warning even a short while later:

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
(Luke 13/5)

But do not repent sanctimoniously, but sincerely and honestly !

"Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance ..."
(Luke 3/8)

"Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:"
(Matthew 3/8)

Repent your sins in prayer before Jesus Christ (not before a priest).
Jesus can forgive you your sins - a priest can not do this !

"And every priest standeth daily ministering
and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices,
which can never take away sins:

(Hebrews 10/11)

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

To begin with, a small joke - which should inspire you to think.

A boy tells:

"I had wanted a bicycle - but got none.
So I prayed and wished God would help me.
But after seven days of prayer, I still had no bike.

Then I stole one.

Now I owned a bicycle - but I had a guilty conscience.
So I prayed another seven days so that God might forgive my theft.

Seven days later I had a bicycle - and a clear conscience. "

Many people behave like this:
They deliberately (intentionally) do something wrong,
and then ask for forgiveness.

But it doesn´t "work" this way !

God says:

"Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;
if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
If the wicked restore the pledge (the wrong possession),
give again that he had robbed,
walk in the statutes of life (living according to God's Word),
without committing iniquity (in the future);
he shall surely live, he shall not die (he shall have eternal life).
None of his sins that he hath
committed shall be mentioned unto him:
he hath done (from now on) that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live."
(Ezekiel 33/14-16)

So if the boy would return the stolen bicycle, then genuine repentance would be possible.
But only then !

Everything else is self-deception !

It is believed that sin is forgiven.

But then everyone could deliberately sin in order to gain advantages,
and then ask forgiveness.

God doesn´t allow that !

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked (God will no be laughed about):
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
(Galatians 6/7)

"For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind ..."
(Hosea 8/7)

Always remember the warning:

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth (in the future) no more sacrifice for sins
(Jesus sacrifice on the Cross does not count),
but a certain fearful looking for of judgment
(In which Jesus Christ a just - will be tough as a judge)
and fiery indignation (hell), which shall devour the adversaries."
(Hebrews 10 / 26-27)

The sermons that God loves sinners are therefore lying.

Please read the cleartext point 106, how the faithful are dumbed down with half-truths.

I would also like to point out the cleartext point 042. Its title: What people love God ?

Many Christians believe that Jesus loved sinners because he was with them
to eat. They read this from the following biblical passages:

"And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold,
many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples,
Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?"
(Matthew 9/10-11)

But why did Jesus often sit with the sinners ?

Because he wanted to make them "healthy" - Jesus tried to make them realise,
that they should turn from their sinful ways and should do penance.
This is precisely what follows from the continuation of the biblical passage just read:

"But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them,
They that be whole need not a physician,
but they that are sick."
(Matthew 9/12)

This is also explained by Mark:

"And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners,
they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh
with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them,
They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
(Mark 2/16-17)

Jesus wanted to call the sinners - not to have fun with them,
but to exhort them and bring them to repentance.Only, therefore,
he sat down with them - and not because Jesus loved the sinners,
as is so often asserted by the preachers of the half-truths.

The statement that Jesus has sacrificed his life for the forgiveness of our sins on the cross,
is valid only on the condition that the sinner tries with all his heart,
not to repeat the sins.

In the bible is written:

"... the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
(1 John 1/7)

Does this mean that even a mass murderer can become pure through Jesus' blood ?

Yes.

Even the worst sins are forgiven by the Lord to the one,
who repents seriously and sincerely from his heart.

Jesus looks into the heart of men,
whoever is honest - and whoever is only being hypocritical.

If someone wants to use Jesus' crucifixion just to "clean" himself,
but then continues to sins, without striving with all his heart,
not to repeat this sin, the one is hoping in vain for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Likewise, also those who deliberately (ie intentionally) sin - believing,
that after committing sin they may ask the Lord for forgiveness.

Repentance means, above all, a departure from sin.

God would like to give every human being a chance to shed the sins - and to begin again.

He is generous and says:

"I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake,
and will not remember thy sins."
(Isaiah 43/25)

We can not earn the forgiveness of our sins.
But we can - and should show our gratitude to the Lord,
as we endeavour with all our heart to put his word into practice.

By that, the Lord recognises that we are serious.

He does not eradicate our sins, so we can happily continue sinning,
but we are to make a serious effort to live as he expects.

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

God compares those who simply want to hide their sins under the blood of Jesus' cross,
with people who have built a wall - a wall of sins.
This sin wall separates them from God.

God the Lord compares the preachers of the half-truths (and those who believe their sermons), with people who wash this wall with white lime (so they paint) to make it clean
and shines bright, though the sins are still hidden underneath.

The Lord, however, sees these covert sins - is very angry about this and burns with anger.

He speaks:

"Because, even because they have seduced my people (with their half-truths),
saying, Peace; and there was no peace (between God and sinners);
and one built up a (sin) wall, and, lo, others (the lie preachers) daubed it
with untempered morter (to cover the sins):
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter (shiny white),
that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower;
and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
(On the last day, before the final judgment the whited wall will
lose its lovely colour, so that the dirty sins become visible.
But then it is too late to change anything !)
Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you,
Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury;
and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger,
and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter,
and bring it down to the ground,
so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall,
and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof:
and ye shall know that I am the LORD. Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall,
and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you,
The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;"
(Ezekiel 13/10-15)

What kind of anger the so-called "dear God" carries in himself,
the following lines illustrate:

"God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth,
and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies."
(Nahum 1/2)

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
(Hebrews 10/31)

Who are his enemies and adversaries?
The people who are not willing to implement all his laws into action.
It does not matter how "religious" and "faithful" these people feel.
All this does not count if a rejection against one or more laws
comes from the "faithful" or "Christian".
God doesn´t tolerate this !

Please also read the cleartext point 165 on the subject: "Deliberate sin".

Through honest repentance, sin will be "washed away" - we will be pure.

"If we confess our sins (in prayer before Jesus Christ), he (the Lord) is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
(1 John 1/9)

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Repentance means:

1. Look for the mistakes in yourself.

2. Recognise these mistakes.

3. Repent these mistakes in prayer before Jesus Christ, seriously and honestly.

4. Strive with all your heart not to repeat these mistakes.

In short, repentance means this:

To look for mistakes in yourself, to recognise, to regret - and not to repeat them !

John the Baptist was to prepare men for the coming of Jesus Christ.
He told them (just as Jesus Christ explained) that they should repent.

"Repent ye ..."
(Matthew 3/2)

"... O generation of vipers, who hath warned you (who has promised you)
to flee from the wrath to come (God's judgment)?
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance (Not just verbally - but with the deed!
Not only to regret - but also change - to reverse from the past, sinful way!):
And think not to say within yourselves,
We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones
to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."
(Matthew 3/7-10 and Luke 3/7-9)

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ... "
(Acts 3/19)

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that (by repenting) your sins may be blotted out ... "

Hence, turn away from sinful life !

Then also applies what is so often said: that God is merciful and compassionate.
But always on the condition that we do not "hide" our sins,
and that we should wholeheartedly turn to God and Jesus Christ.
Thus, also really seriously try to live so that we do not sin !

"If my people ... shall humble themselves ...
and (they) turn ...
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin ..."
(2 Chronicles 7/14)

This is God's "if - then - principle".
Please also read the cleartext point 170.

The following statement is also based on the "if - then - principle":

"... for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful,
and will not turn away his face from you,
if ye return unto him."
(2 Chronicles 30/9)

To convert to God means:

To try with all your heart to put all his laws into action -
Only then God is merciful and compassionate !

That your duty is to obey all the laws of God, you see in the cleartext point 008.

And that your task is to put the words (and laws) of God and Jesus into action,
you can find out in the cleartext points 010, 012 and 016.

But very many people continue to live on as they have always lived.
They think that God is still merciful to them,
when they continue their sinful life in secret.
Act piously on the outside - but secretly continue to live as before.

For they say: "... the LORD seeth not."
(Ezekiel 9/9)

To this God replies:

"And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity,
but I will recompense (on the last day) their way upon their head."
(Ezekiel 9/10)

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

To explain to people that it does not "work" this way,
I've written this cleartext info and published it on the internet.

"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan (we which do not want to feel and do not want to believe)
unto God, that (then - and only then) they may receive forgiveness of sins ..."
(Acts 26/18)

"... that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance."
(Acts of the Apostles 26/20)

Since that time, Jesus began to preach: "Repent ..."
(Matthew 4/17)

"Repent ..."
(Mark 1/15)

Jesus said to them, "Repent ..."
(Acts 2/38)

"... they preached that one should repent ..."
(Mark 6/12)

"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached
in his name among all nations (everywhere in the world)."
(Luke 24/47)

It does not help if someone represses his sins !

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth
(before Jesus Christ) and (then) forsaketh them
(the sins are no longer repeated) shall have mercy (from God)."
(Proverbs 28/13)

So here you can see exactly what is important in honest penitence:

The forsaking of sins - and not to repeat them.

"... forsaketh them (the sins) ... shall have mercy (from God)."
(Proverbs 28/13)

Through the half-truths of the lie - preachers, no one can recognise in himself,
What he (or she) is doing wrong in God's eyes. As they preach on behalf of Satan,
they have no interest whatsoever in turning people from sin.

"... that none doth return from his wickedness ..."
(Jeremiah 23/14)

They say that Jesus Christ forgives all of their sins.
But that is only half of the truth !
Please reread this in the cleartext point 006.

God has established:

People should "... return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin."
(Jeremiah 36/3)

Here we clearly recognise the clear condition that God places,
on which sin may be forgiven:
We must abandon the sinful path so far, and turn to God's way.
Then - and only then will all sins be forgiven to us by Jesus Christ !

- 8 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

"Some men's sins are open beforehand (they are clearly recognisable),
going before to judgment (judgement day);
and some men they follow after (afterwards, later, at the Last Judgment)."
(1 Timothy 5/24)

"Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret (unintentional) sins in the light of thy countenance."
(Psalm 90/8)

So also the sins which we do not recognise as "genuine" sins are also brought forth.
For minor offences (see cleartext point 008), or the sins with words,
or the doubt of the words from the bible.

That is why it is very important, that you keep looking for the sins and mistakes,
to regret them - so you can repent.

One of the two criminals who was crucified at the same time,
regretted his deeds at the last moment.
He spoke:

"... for we receive (we get) the due reward of our deeds ..."
(Luke 23/41)

(Please also read the cleartext point 006.)

A very "clever" one once told me:

"I will do it like the one criminal on the cross beside Jesus, and repent my sins
on the deathbed. So I can lead an undistorted life - and don´t have to give up anything.
At the last moment, I regret everything - and Jesus forgives me for my sins. "

I must honestly admit that I had thought about it once before secretly.
But does it work ?

No !

God and Jesus can not be deceived.
They look into the hearts of the people and recognise their intentions there.
So if someone has devised such a plan, then it is
easy for the Lord to cross this plan.
He can, for example, take this sinner´s life all of a sudden
by a traffic accident.

Or this person starts to face memory problems,
So that he can´t think clearly anymore. Would it then be possible at all
to repent of any sins ?
No !

Never forget the warning:

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked (God will no be laughed about):
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
(Galatians 6/7)

If people want to trick God, they can not count on
his grace and mercy.

(Hebrews 10/26-27)

You see, God and Jesus can only be reached on a straight path.

"As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways,
the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity ..."
(Psalm 125/5)

He who transgresses God's laws (that is, does not adhere to one hundred per cent) is a transgressor.
Also, this one is destroyed and eradicated on the last day -
Does not get eternal life in God's kingdom.

"And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together,
and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed."
(Isaiah 1/28)

"But the transgressors (transgressing the laws of God) shall be destroyed together ..."
(Psalm 37/38)

Only those who try wholeheartedly to change their lives,
to live as God and Jesus imagine it,
will receive help from Jesus Christ.

"And the Redeemer (Jesus Christ) shall come to Zion,
and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob,
saith the LORD."
(Isaiah 59/20)

Those who "turn away from sin" are thus redeemed and saved by Jesus Christ.

"Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,
that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof."
(Romans 6/12)

In the Bible we are given an important note:

God hates those who are not aware of their sins,
and declare themselves with a raised head,
not belonging to the "wicked ones".

"When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up;
and he shall save the humble person
(who becomes aware of his sins, and seriously repents them)."
(Job 22/29)

- 9 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

In cleartext point 006 I explained it already:
Jesus Christ has not died for all sinners of this world,
but only for those who turn seriously from sin.
These people are his friends - and for them, he died.

Jesus explains:

"Ye are (only then) my friends , if ye do whatsoever I command you."
(If you put it into practice, what I tell you and ask you.)
(John 15/14)

By believing his words and putting them into practice, you become his friend.

Only with the "put into action" you fulfil all the conditions for a real friendship with the Lord.

"And being made perfect, he (Jesus Christ) became the author
of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"
(Hebrews 5/9)

But if we change only externally, half-heartedly or superficially
to a "Christian", but internally displace our errors and continue to sin,
then we can not claim the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for us.

Much is undertaken only half-heartedly:

A half-hearted faith emerges - in which there is doubt.

We obey the Lord only half-heartedly.

The ministry for the Lord is half-hearted.

And we serve God and Jesus only half-heartedly.

But all this does not please the Lord.

"And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD,
but not with a perfect heart."
(2 Chronicles 25/2)

Jesus will call you "lukewarm" otherwise.
This he predicted in revelation as a warning:

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot ...
(If you do not put Jesus' words into action with enthusiasm, then you behave lukewarm in his eyes.)
... So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth
(That is why I do not want you in my kingdom)."
(Revelation 3/15-16)

Semitism is to be equated with sin in the eyes of the Lord.

Either all or nothing !

To sin deliberately also means when someone decides internally for himself:
"I will not put this or that law of God into action."
(For example, practice renunciation, or love the enemy or the forgiveness.)

Always remember the following statement:

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth (in the future) no more sacrifice for sins
(Jesus sacrifice on the Cross does not count),
but a certain fearful looking for of judgment
(In which Jesus Christ a just - will be tough as a judge)
and fiery indignation (hell), which shall devour the adversaries."
(Hebrews 10/26-27)

Information about our unrecognised sins:

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men
every where (so everywhere in this world) to repent:
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man (Jesus Christ)
whom he hath ordained ..."
(Acts 17/30-31)

"If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?"
(Psalm 130/3)

No one could stand !

Therefore it is so important that Jesus Christ forgives us our sins.

"Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret (or unconscious)
sins in the light of thy countenance."
(Psalm 90/8)

Please bear in mind that our unrecognised sins also count as sin before God.
Therefore, ask the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer that he will forgive you the
unrecognised sins.

It is not enough to say, "Lord, please forgive me all my unrecognised sins."

We should nevertheless strive to remember sins which got away from our memories,
to not just forget them, not just push them aside -
Because we should eventually avoid them.

But if, despite our efforts, our unrecognised sins do not occur to us,
then the Lord will forgive us if we ask him in prayer.

But he wants to see that we whole-heartedly endeavoured to make an "inventory"
of our sins - thus have recognised them. For only recognised sins
we can successfully fight in the future.

So: Firstly, repent all sins which you remember in prayer before Jesus Christ.
Then think intensively about whether you still remember forgotten and unrecognised sins.
Ask the Lord in prayer for the forgiveness of those sins.

If, despite all thought, you can´t recall any further sins,
then ask for the forgiveness of all unrecognised sins.

Most importantly, never recapture these old, repented sins in your prayers
or in your thoughts, for they have been forgiven for ever and ever.

A renewed repentance of the old, already repented sins would mean,
that you do not believe the Lord Jesus Christ, that he has forgiven you these sins.
This disbelief would make you an unbeliever in the eyes of the Lord.

Repent your sins honestly before Jesus - and then they will be gone forever and ever.
Otherwise one day you would be crushed by your sins.

"For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me,
so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head:
therefore my heart faileth me."
(Psalm 40/12)

"For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me."
(Psalm 38/4)

We would crush because of our sins - at least after death.
When we are put before the Last Judgment on the Day of Judgment,
every single sin (even the smallest offence) counts against us.
(What is outrage is explained in the cleartext point 008.)

"For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin."
(Psalm 38/18)

Only those who are seriously worried about their sins,
because they block the way to eternal life in God's kingdom,
will look for a way out.
And that is the way God offers us,
by repentance before Jesus Christ.

"Deliver me from all my transgressions ..."
(Psalm 39/9)

God has established:

"... neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life
(Because of sin, no one will have eternal life)."
(Ezekiel 7/13)

He who does not seek his own sins in himself,
and repenteth not before Jesus Christ through honest repentance,
will not enter into God's kingdom.

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins (before Jesus Christ), he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him (God) a liar, and his word is not in us
(For God says: Every man sins)."
(1 John 1/8-10)

It is very difficult to recognise the faults and sins of oneself.
To make it easier for you, I have summarised the laws of God and Jesus Christ
in the cleartext point 129.
Whoever "balances" these laws with the personal behaviour,
will recognise what sins he (or she) commits.
For only those who recognise their faults can ask Jesus for forgiveness.
The general phrases which are often expressed in prayer, Jesus doesn`t accept.
(For example, if you are praying in general,
"Forgive me all my sins.")
He )or she) who prays so superficially, and does not seek the sins of himself in concrete terms,
can not turn away from these sins.
But the turning away from sins (refrainment of sins) is the prerequisite,
that Jesus Christ forgives these sins.
This is what you have read a few bible quotes earlier in this cleartext point (blue font).
Only those who recognise their sins can fight them purposefully.

"Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me."
(Psalm 51/2-3)

"Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight:
that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest (When you say: Everyone sins!),
and (thou) be clear when thou judgest
(You are right to judge the sinners, for you condemn only what is bad)."
(Psalm 51/4)

Many people do not want to subordinate themselves to God and Jesus Christ.
They want to decide freely what they are doing.

"... wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee? (God)"
(Jeremiah 2/31)

But are they really free ?
No !
For they have unconsciously subordinated to Satan and to sin.

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey ... "
(Romans 6/16)

He who lets himself seduce by Satan to sin and thus obeys (though unconsciously),
the one has become Satan's servant.

Through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, those who subordinate themselves to him
and obey him, have become truly free (of sin and of Satan).

"Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped."
(Psalm 124/7)

"{A Psalm of David, Maschil.} Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
When I kept silence (when I "swept" my sins "under the carpet"),
my bones waxed old (I was plagued by illness) through my roaring all the day long ...
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid (concealed).
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah."
(Psalm 32/1-5)

God, the Lord, saith,

"I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud,
thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee."
(Isaiah 44/22)

"... though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow ..."
(Isaiah 1/18)

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."
(Psalm 103/12)

And God says:

"... for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
(Jeremiah 31/34)

"And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."
(Hebrews 10/17)

"Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it
(so it must not perish) from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back."
(Isaiah 38/17)

If, before Jesus Christ, you honestly repent of your sins in prayer,
then he will destroy your sins forever and ever.
they are never brought up again -
they are then forever forgiven.

There is the term assurance of salvation.

Because Jesus Christ gave us humans
the opportunity to get rid of our sins, by his death on the cross,
we can be quite sure, that we will get to God's kingdom -
If we adhere to the "rules" of Jesus Christ.
He calls it repentance.

Since we can be absolutely certain,
that we are saved by the crucifixion of Jesus Christ,
this is called assurance of salvation.

Salvation means to rescue. And because we can rest assured about this rescue,
(this salvation) hence assurance of salvation.

This gives you the guarantee from the Lord, that you will reach his kingdom on the day of judgment.

(For detailed information on the topic of "assurance of salvation", please see cleartext point 138.)

It doesn´t matter, if you feel the forgiveness of your sins inside yourself - or not.
They were forgiven even if you do not feel it
God has promised it in his Word (the bible)
And only that counts !

"I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake."
(1 John 2/12)

Through Jesus Christ - and only through him, through his death on the cross
(In His name) our sins are being forgiven.

So we fall under grace (the Lord is merciful to us).

In the bible is written:

"What shall we say then? Shall (may) we continue in sin,
that grace (the forgiveness of sins) may abound? God forbid. (No way !)"
(Romans 6/1-2)

"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law,
but under grace (through the forgiveness of sins)?
God forbid. (No way !)"
(Romans 6/15)

"Do we then make void the law through faith?
God forbid (No way !): yea, we establish the law."
(Romans 3/31)

"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? (Is compliance with the law wrong?)
God forbid. (No way !)
Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:
for I had not known lust, except the law had said (Exodus 20/17),
"Thou shalt not covet."
(Romans 7/7)

"Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."
(Romans 7/12)

- 13 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Jesus' crucifixion has freed us from sin (given us freedom), but he gives us
not a "license", in order to continue sinning, but we always have to
try wholeheartedly to avoid sin.

"... only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh ..."
(be careful not to sin.)
(Galatians 5/13)

"... for without the law, sin was dead ...
(If God's law did not exist, no one would know what sin is.)
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived
(By God's law I first realised that I lived evil, so I sinned) ... "
(Romans 7/8-9)

"... for by the law is the knowledge of sin ..."
(Romans 3/20)

Through God's laws (not only through the Ten Commandments) we know what sin is.

"... Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust,
except the law had said, (Exodus 20:17): "Thou shalt not covet!"
(Romans 7/7)

"Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."
(Romans 7/12)

Jesus Christ says:

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten (educate, also uncomfortably and painfully):
be zealous therefore, and repent."
(Revelation 3/19)

"Now think of what you have fallen from, and repent
And do the first works."
(Do as you did before you were full of enthusiasm for Jesus.)
(Revelation 2/5)

"Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly ... "
(Revelation 2/16)

Jesus exhorted a healed person:

"... Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more,
lest a worse thing come unto thee."
(John 5/14)

Jesus warned this man before the Day of Judgment, that he might not be rejected,
and go into eternal damnation !
If our body is sick, then we worry about it - then we want to heal.
But what happens to us on the Last Day,
Very few people think very seriously about this.
The topic is being pushed aside !

So, let Jesus Christ "wash off" your sins through sincere repentance,
so that you may enter the kingdom of God on the last day.

"The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished ..."
(Lamentations Jeremiah 4/22)

However, he (or she) who rejects Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins through him, and does not do honest repentance,
can not be cleansed of his sins.

"... he will visit thine iniquity (the Lord on the Last Day) ... he will discover thy sins."
(Lamentations Jeremiah 4/22)

But sinners are denied access to God's kingdom.

On the last day (or after death) one can not regret anything,
nor repent - it is too late !

- 14 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

There are unknowingly committed sins:

"... for the errors of the people:"
(Hebrews 9/7)

"Who can understand his errors (how often he makes mistakes and sins)?
cleanse thou me from secret faults."
(Psalm 19/12)

The biblical quotation with the hidden and unwittingly committed sins is not an excuse,
just not to think about your sins and mistakes. That would be very nice and simple.
Then all the criminals would enter God's kingdom,
without turning away from their sins.

But you can ask God to make you recognise your sins,
to clearly show you.
He will listen to this prayer because it is in his interest.
And if you then intensely inquire in God's Word, what he regards as a sin,
then you will notice how often you sin every day - even hourly.
You will be frightened by your behaviour (which still seems normal to you today).

"How many are mine iniquities and sins?
make me to know my transgression and my sin."
(Job 13/23)

Therefore Jesus Christ came to this earth also as a "teacher",
explain to us what God considers as sin.

"... Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God ..."
(John 3/2)

Jesus says:

"If I had not come and spoken unto them (the people), they had not had sin:
but now they have no cloke (they have no excuse) for their sin."
(John 15/22)

In the Old Testament God gives mankind his commandments, warnings and advice,
which can be summarised as "law".
Jesus Christ has shown mankind, how to live perfectly and flawlessly by these laws
and has explained them in his words.

Only he who cares with all his heart, that he (or she) really finds these laws
in the bible and recognises them, can fight against sin.
For whoever does not know what sin is, can not fight it,
but will always repeat it.

People often erroneously claim:
"The laws of the Old Testament no longer apply."

In the cleartext point 129 I mentioned above, I have summarised the laws of the Lord.
The amazing thing about it: All these laws were written down in the New Testament.
Consequently, the New Testament merely reaffirms most of the Old Testament laws.

As I said, all the laws listed in cleartext point 129 are from the New Testament !
So please read them - and then try with all your heart to implement and keep them, for that
is the will of the Lord. Only this transformation into the act shapes you into a real Christian.
Otherwise, you are merely a Christian in the eyes of the Lord (see cleartext point 098).

Jesus Christ exhorts:

"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard (read in the bible),
and hold fast (do not forget), and repent."
(Revelation 3/3)

"Some men's sins are open beforehand (they are clearly recognisable),
going before to judgment (judgement day);
and some men they follow after (afterwards, later, at the Last Judgment)."
(1 Timothy 5/24)

Whoever does not endeavour with all his heart, to put the words of the Lord Jesus Christ into action in his
daily life is to blame when on the Last Day
"The journey" does not proceed as it was actually hoped for:
Instead of entering eternal life, it goes off into eternal damnation.

Therefore seek your faults (sins) in yourself,
so that on the last day the great judgment will not begin to you.
Then it will be too late to change anything !

Always remember the statement:

"For if we would judge ourselves, we should (on the last day, in the last judgment)
not be judged (by the judge Jesus Christ)."
(1 Corinthians 11/31)

"Examine yourselves ... prove your own selves."
(2 Corinthians 13/5)

"But let a man examine himself, ..."
(1 Corinthians 11/28)

Therefore, seek your mistakes in yourself -
Recognise them -
And repent in prayer before Jesus Christ.
Then work hard not to repeat these mistakes !

This is what God and Jesus expect from you !

Here is a little tip from me, which I would like to tell you.
It includes some work, but it's worth it:
I collected all the points out of the bible,
in which Jesus explains to us, what he considers as sin.
I was frightened, for more than a hundred pieces of advice came together.
All the laws of God I printed on small cards.

These pieces of advice, which we should put into practice (ie, God's laws),
you will find in the already mentioned cleartext point 129.
There I also explain a possibility to print these laws
of God and Jesus Christ.
You could then cut them out and sort them.
I also explain there a possibility,
to sort these individual laws directly on the computer.

I made five small boxes (cartons), into which I can sort the cards.
I labelled the boxes as follows:

1. Start
(In this box I first put all the cards to start.
So it's just a shelf.)

2. Problem
(In this box I put all the cards with the bits of advice of Jesus, which in my life are still
a big problem - against which I already intensively fight, however.)

3. important
(Here I sort all the cards with the points,
Which I already have - but not yet completely - under control.
I would like to be reminded of these points again and again.)

4. First successes
(If I got a problem in the handle, then I sorted it here.
However, I still have to "keep an eye" on it, so I will not backslide.)

5. Not up to date
(To give an example: the topic of honouring and loving your parents, but if the parents have already passed away,
then this is not a point which requires special attention.)

At regular intervals, I look at the cards, to check
what I have changed in my life already - and what I still have to change.
I then sort the cards as my "current sin state" is.
Through this, I always recognise the points I still have to work on.

Through the laws of the Lord (summarised in the already mentioned cleartext point 129),
it is very clear to us what we still should change,
because God and Jesus Christ do not like our behaviour in this regard.

Only when you have recognised your mistakes, then you know,
what you have to regret - and what you can not repeat.

Repent your found mistakes,
and wholeheartedly try not to repeat them.

This is real repentance to !

I can not repeat this advice often enough because it is very, very important !

- 17 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Now another important note concerning the holy communion in the church.
I would like to stand back with comments because the bible quote is clear:

"Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord,
unworthily (that is, as a sinner, without honest repentance),
shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord (Jesus Christ)."
(1 Corinthians 11/27)

If you really look at yourself and realise how many mistakes and sins you have committed
(and still, commit), then only you will realise how important the crucifixion
oJesus Christ was also for you.
Only who knows what kind of a sinner he (or she) is,
I will appreciate the liberation of sin through Jesus Christ
- and to be thankful to Jesus Christ from the bottom of his heart.
(Please read also the cleartext point 050.)

In my life, the following happened: I had found many sins and errors in myself,
against which I certainly wanted to fight. Some sins, however, remained particularly stubbornly.
Whenever I had committed them, I begged Jesus Christ for forgiveness.
But I repeated these sins again and again !

One day (I can still clearly remember: it happened on the way home
of my work), an icy disgust suddenly appeared in me.
I realised that I "deceived" Jesus Christ !
(To put it honestly and hard:
I tried to fool Jesus Christ !)

It was a vicious circle in which I was,
Sin - repent - once again commit the same sin - regret again ...
Then I asked myself, "How often and how long will Jesus Christ continue to play along ?
When will his patience be over ?"

I was pretty frightened.
At that moment I realised for the first time what is meant by God fear.
I got it - the fear of God !

(Important to know: real fear of God is not anxiety. Information in cleartext point 025.)

I was afraid that God and Jesus would reject me because I was simply not able to reverse
my life - or didn´t want it seriously enough.
I was still clinging to my previous life habits.

In the Bible under Job 28/28 God tells us:

"... fear of the Lord, that is wisdom ..."

and

"... to depart from evil is understanding."

(For the fear of God, please necessarily read the above-mentioned cleartext point 025.)

At that moment I realised that I can not continue living like that.

And through a long and heavy struggle, in which God and Jesus supported me,
I received God fear (which is wisdom) and insight (by avoiding evil).

"Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed ..."
(Ezekiel 16/61)

Yes, it happened to me - I was ashamed. I honestly admit it.

"... and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed ..."
(Ezekiel 6/9)

"... be ashamed and confounded for your own ways (life) ..."
(Ezekiel 36/32)

"Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good,
and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations."
(Ezekiel 36/31)

"... mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled ..."
(Lamentations 1/20)

"Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed,
I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded ..."
(Jeremiah 31/19)

"... ye shall pine away (be ashamed of yourself ) for your iniquities,
and mourn one toward another."
(Ezekiel 24/23)

"... woe unto us, that we have sinned!"
(Lamentations 5/16)

- 18 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Thanks to the help of God and Jesus, I recognised my sins and mistakes in time.
But whoever represses this problem will be confronted with it even more so
on the Day of Judgment - and be the loser !

"And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings,
wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight
for all your evils that ye have committed.
And ye shall know that I am the LORD ... "
(Ezekiel 20/43)

With "there" is meant God's judgment.
There we would blame ourselves,
why we have not accepted God's education,
and why we have not listened to the teachers,
which God sent us human beings to teach us the truth.
But then it will be too late to change anything !

Please also read the cleartext point 113.
Its title: One day it will be too late.

The most important teacher whom God sent us was his own son, Jesus Christ.

Are we listening to him ?

Do we do what he tells u s?

Remember, one day it will be too late !

"And thou mourn (later - when dying) at the last,
when thy flesh and thy body are consumed (when it comes to dying),
And say (you will then reproach yourself),
How have I hated instruction (the education of God),
and my heart despised (rejected) reproof;
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers (meaning,
who wanted to explain the full and uncomfortable truth about God's Word),
nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me
(Bad I did not listen to them and did not believe them.)!"
(Proverbs 5/11-13)

Realise that you can not change anything after your death.

- 19 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Always remember the sentences about the meaning of life (see cleartext point 007).

One of them is:

"So teach us (me) to number our days, that we may apply our hearts
unto wisdom (smart and perceptive)."
(Psalm 90/12)

Be wise and insightful - thus learn God fear and avoid evil !

If you can not handle this in this life, then on the Last Day
(If you are sent to eternal damnation by the judge named Jesus Christ)
following sentence applies to you:

"... remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him (in advance) ... and wept bitterly."
(Matthew 26/75 and Luke 22 / 61-62 and Mark 14/72)

Change your life so that you do not become repulsive after repentance.
Please read the cleartext point 059.

Those who have done honest repentance have been purified from their sins by Jesus Christ.

"Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin."
(Psalm 51/2)

He (or she) has swapped the "clothes" stained with sin for clean "clothes".
If someone is innocent, it is said: "He has a clean slate."

Whoever did not repent seriously must be accused by God:

"For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap,
yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD."
(Jeremiah 2/22)

To those who do not recognise their sins in themselves, God says with great anguish:

"How canst thou say, I am not polluted ... know what thou hast done ..."
(Jeremiah 2/23)

It does not work if someone just generally asks for the forgiveness of sins.
On one hand, this would be too easy, and on the other hand, no one would recognise his sins -
as such, could not work against this sin.

Who for example has a "loose mouth" (gladly gossips),
may ask a hundred times for a general forgiveness,
the one would repeat his (or her) sin again and again.
But what is the use of the puzzling of prayers for the forgiveness of sins,
if the one does not turn from sin after that
(repeats the sam sin over and over) ?

Everyone should make an "adjustment" in himself:
What do God and Jesus Christ demand in the laws -
And how do I personally behave ?

It is only then, that we recognise what errors we make in our daily life,
which God interprets as sin.

In order to be wiser, and to be able to do this, I have collected God´s laws in the cleartext point 129.
So you can create an "inventory" and a make an
"adjustment". This could make you notice errors in yourself,
which regards God as sin.

But, unfortunately, this "inventory" is not made by most people.

They do not recognise their sins, and they think that they are proportionally
"good" people. They chatter "phrases" like:
"Yes, I am also a sinful person" - but they leave it at that.

They do not fight specifically against the individual sins.
The lie preachers have taught them,
that they get to heaven through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ,
by only believing "in" the "dear God" and "in" Jesus Christ - and baptism,
and by (generally) praying for the forgiveness of their sins.
But this is not, how the forgiveness of sins works !

Only the subsequent departure from the repented sin washes someone clean.

God and Jesus look into the hearts of men -
Whether someone tries with all his heart,
not to repeat the sins.
Only then forgiveness is possible !

- 20 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Since for God, all sins are equally heavy (see cleartext point 008),
even a murderer could regret his deed, and then continue to kill merrily.
Then regret the act again - and kill the next victim - and so on,
and so forth ... - and from the Last Day, he would (because God supposedly loves all sinners
and forgives all sins) live together with you in paradise !

Be completely reassured - it will not happen.
Sinners who always repeat their sins (no matter which),
without striving intensively to turn away from these sins,
do not enter the kingdom of God.

This, however, applies to all sins.
For God, it is the same whether someone blasphemes or murders (see cleartext point 008).

Only those who try wholeheartedly to turn away from sin
are purified from sin by the blood of the crucified Jesus Christ.

"There is a generation (there are people) that are pure in their own eyes
(who think because they have generally repented their sins,
these sins have been forgiven),
and yet is not washed from their filthiness (To them the sins have been forgiven,
but because they have not recognised these sins, they repeat them
again and again - so they sin again).
There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up
(Instead of being ashamed of their sins).
There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives
(reacts aggressively to critical remarks, which are supposed to help them) ..."
(Proverbs 30/12-14)

Be wiser.
Accept the exhortations from God's word.
Change your life so that God and Jesus Christ have their joy in you.

All people sin - even me.
But God and Jesus expect us to give try one hundred,
not to repeat the sins - and that we live as righteous.

You can find out how a righteous person lives in the cleartext point 047.

- 21 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses
(which we think we had) are as filthy rags ..."
(Isaiah 64/5)

If you "wash off" your sins by honest repentance,
then it is, as if Jesus washes your garment,
or give you a new dress.
The dirty (sinful) dress he destroys after repentance !

I explain this to you so that you can understand the following statements from the revelation:

"... These are they which came out of great tribulation,
and have washed their robes (they did honest repentance),
and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
(Revelation 7/14)

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God - the sacrificial lamb sacrificed for our sins (see cleartext point 006).
Through the crucifixion of Jesus and through His blood, which he shed on the cross for us,
we are "washed clean" from our sins.

"And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen (to those who honestly repent),
clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."
(Revelation 19/8)

"And white robes were given unto every one of them (white is the colour of innocence) ..."
(Revelation 6/11)

Jesus says:

"He that overcometh (sin), the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his (or her) name out of the book of life,
but I will confess his (or her) name before my Father, and before his angels."
(Revelation 3/5)

Through honest repentance, we are able to overcome sin.

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things (the eternal life in Paradise);
and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."
(Revelation 21/7)

"... To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
which is in the midst of the paradise of God."
(Revelation 2/7)

"... He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."
(Revelation 2/11)

So overcome sin - but also all doubt, the avarice
(when it comes to donations), half-heartedness and inertia.

"... stood before the throne (of God), and before the Lamb (before Jesus Christ),
clothed with white robes ..."
(Revelation 7/9)
"

"... but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified ..."
(1 Corinthians 6/11)

Through honest repentance, Jesus Christ forgives us our sins.
This forgiveness God recognises as the only possibility !

Only in this way it is possible to reconcile the human sinners with God -
Their sins are "washed off" by Jesus' blood.
This is the gospel (translated: the good news).

Without the "washing" of sins, a person would remain unclean.
But God does not allow any impurity to enter into his eternal heaven.

"And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth ..."
(Revelation 21/27)

- 22 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

When Jesus had symbolically washed his disciples (John 13/1-17)
they were pure from their sins. A purified body, running barefoot a piece,
will not be completely dirty again. Only the feet pollute on the way.
Thus, Jesus explained to his disciples, that when (through His crucifixion)
he has completely washed them clean of their sins,
but they make their feet dirty again on their path of life,
(because they will commit any sins again daily).
then they should wash their feet (which is meant by repenting the new sins).
So they would be completely pure again.

"... He that is washed needeth not save to wash his (or her) feet, but is clean every whit ..."
(John 13/10)

"... (on the last day) we shall be like him (Jesus Christ); for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself
(by honest repentance, and by the subsequent departure from sin),
even as he (Jesus Christ) is pure. Whosoever committeth sin
(no matter how small the transgression is) transgresseth (at the same time) also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law."
(1 John 3/2-4)

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city (into eternal life)."
(Revelation 22/14)

Whoever thus sincere repentance will have eternal life !

"... not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"
(Romans 2/4)

Whoever becomes aware of how much good us God and Jesus Christ
have done for us - and still, do,
should by gratitude come to repentance
(ie to departure from sinful life).

Quite honestly, we humans often act "very stupid".
When we see a clear creek flow after a long wandering, completely exhausted and thirsty,
but find every 10 meters a sign with a skull,
on which it is written that drinking means mortal danger because the water is polluted -
so tt would only end our perishable life when we drink of it,
then we are frightened, and follow the advice on the sign.

We cling to our earthly life because we have it on our mind and are in the middle of it.
But eternal life is so far removed from our minds that we often do not appreciate -
and therefore "sacrifice" it.

When Jesus warns us that we won´t inherit eternal life in
God's kingdom, then it hardly interests us -
we still do what we want.

When it is written on a sign in the park: "Caution, freshly painted." -
then we respect it. We would not oppose this
warning and still, sit down.

But the really important warnings of Jesus Christ we oppose,
although they are about our entire future - about eternal life.

Are we people really as stupid as the animals, and do not care about warnings ?

Be wise !

Listen to what God and Jesus Christ say to you in the bible -
and then implement what is heard or read into action !

Believe in what God and Jesus tell you !

Do not doubt !

Please also read the cleartext point 062 about doubt.

Jesus Christ warns:

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish
(you will not get eternal life)."
(Luke 13/3)

And he repeats his warning even a short while later:

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
(Luke 13/5)

Let yourself be reminded - do repentance !

God said the following about the people of Judah:

"It may be that the house (the people) of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them;
that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin."
(Jeremiah 36/3)

This is how you recognise that conversion (the turning away from sin) is necessary,
so the Lord may forgive your sins.

If you do not try, however, with all your heart to change your attitude towards the positive,
then the Lord won´t forgive you your sins, but turns away from you, without you noticing.

Please refer to the cleartext points 044 and 060 for how fast it can happen,
that God drops people, without them being aware of it.

And in the cleartext point 033 you learn how fast someone,
who would call himself a "Christian"
becomes godless in God's eyes.

Please also read the cleartext point 087. Its title:
Are we really harming other people ?

God says warning:

"Be thou instructed ... lest my soul depart from thee ..."
(Jeremiah 6/8)

Here is an important note:

There is a church (which I do not want to name), who persuades their "lambs"
that after death soul enters a purgatory to be cleansed of sin.
You can not find this statement in the entire bible because it is not written there.
Purgatory is an invention of this church - it is a lie.
By this way, people are dumbed down because after death there is no - absolutely no
possibility to free oneself from any sins.

If you want to know how the last day before the Last Judgment plays out,
then please read the cleartext point 118.

Remember that you will only be forgiven your sins during your lifetime.

Therefore, repent them honestly and sincerely in prayer before Jesus Christ -
and then try wholeheartedly not to repeat them.

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ... "
(Acts 3/19)

Do not just take let your already committed sins be forgiven (do not think,
that the forgiveness of the sins committed would be quite sufficient)
but strive with all your heart, not to fall back into your old ways
(In the previous life).

These serious efforts and the persistence are rewarded on the Last Day -
Jesus Christ has promised you:

"... but he that endureth to the end shall be saved (he will have eternal life)."
(Matthew 10/22 and similar in Matthew 24/13)

"Blessed is the man (and logically also the woman) that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried (after he has passed God's tests [see cleartext point 023]),
he shall receive the crown of life (eternal life),
which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."
(James 1/12)

The Lord promises to you:

"... be thou faithful (to God and Jesus) unto death,
and I will give thee a crown of life (ie eternal life in God's kingdom)."
(Revelation 2/10)

Jesus' promise is based on the "if - then principle"
Which is often used in the word of the Lord.
In this case, it means: If you are faithful and brave -
then you will get eternal life in God's kingdom.

(Read about the "if - then - principle" please also the already mentioned cleartext point 170.)

"For we are made partakers of Christ (we belong to him),
if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"
(Hebrews 3/14)

Whoever loves the Lord will always strive with all his heart,
To obey him and to put his word into action.

Jesus says:

"... If a man love me, he will keep my words ..."
(John 14/23)

"He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings ..."
(John 14/24)

Hereby the Lord knows whether we really love him, or whether our love is only hypocritical.

(You can read how you can show and prove your love to God in the cleartext point 041.)

"... shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love ..."
(2 Corinthians 8/24)

"... let us not love in word ... but in deed ..."
(1 John 3/18)

Jesus Christ shows disappointedly:

"... This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me."
(Mark 7/6 and Matthew 15/8 and similarly also with Isaiah 29/13)

He asks:

"And why call ye me (hypocritically), Lord, Lord, and (then) (you) do not the things which I say?"
(Luke 6/46)

(In the above-mentioned cleartext point 129, you will learn everything Jesus said we should do.)

And Jesus Christ warns us:

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he (only those) that doeth the will of my Father
(transpose the laws of God into action) which is in heaven."
(Matthew 7/21)

The laws of God addressed by Jesus are, at the same time, the words of Jesus, according to which we
should live. In the above-mentioned cleartext point 129, you will find them as a summary.

Do not just postpone your good intentions every day.
Always remember: It could be "the eleventh hour"!

"... for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste."
(Deuteronomy 32/35)

The fact that Jesus Christ is not coming back to earth yet has the following reason:

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise
(the announcement that Jesus Christ will return to earth),
as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance."
(2 Peter 3/9)

"And I gave her space to repent of her fornication ..."
(Revelation 2/21)

Do also use the time which the Lord still gives you, to convert fully to him,
and repent sincerely and from the bottom of your heart, what you have done wrong in your past
life - which is sin in the eyes of the Lord.

But do not "babble" something to the Lord in your prayers,
what you do not turn into action afterwards.

Many "Christians" (the name Christians) speak very piously in their prayers
- but hypocritical: "Lord Jesus Christ ..., Lord in heaven ..."

Jesus Christ figures out such "Christians".

Always remember his words:

"... This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me."
(Mark 7/6 and Matthew 15/8 and similarly also with Isaiah 29/13)

Jesus asks:

"And why call ye me (hypocritically), Lord, Lord, and (then) (you) do not the things which I say?"
(Luke 6/46)

And he warns us:

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he (only those) that doeth the will of my Father
(transpose the laws of God into action) which is in heaven."
(Matthew 7/21)

With the transposition of God's word into action, many "Christians" are having a hard time.

Question: Are you giving the Lord his tithes,
or do you prefer to finance your holiday and leisure time ?

Please read the important information in cleartext point 137 about the topic:
"We live no longer under the law, but under grace."

You can find information about God's tithes in the cleartext point 094.
