What is the meaning of life ?

If you are internally plagued by stress, impatience and restlessness -
and declare to have no time to read this cleartext point to the end, then I advise you to absolutely work through the cleartext point 005.
Its title: "No time, no time !"

There are, unfortunately, more and more people who are self-indulging themselves. I would also like to reach them, to bring them close to God's Word. Therefore, I have put the following summary right at the beginning, so that the stress-stricken people can experience in the "fast run" what the meaning of life is.
Perhaps one or the other then takes the time to read through the entire cleartext point.

Summary of why we live on this earth.

 We should:

- according to Jesus "seek the kingdom of God"

- persist - and not surrender or doubt (see cleartext point 062)

- persevere God's examinations (see cleartext point 023)

- learn the fear of God (see cleartext point 025)

- ask for God and seek him (see cleartext point 014)

- learn to live the way the righteous live (see cleartext point 047)

- Learn humility (see cleartext point 072)

- use this life to guide us through God's exhortations and his education for the
eternal life in his kingdom (see cleartext points 066 und 067)

- learn to do good in this world (see cleartext point 144)

- practice charity (see cleartext point 080)

- and we should put Jesus' orders into action.

- God wants us to understand what he asks us to do.

- We live here on this earth so that we can learn God's laws (see cleartext point 129),
and practice to put these laws into deeds (see cleartext points 010, 012 and 016).

Now for the readers, who take time for God and Jesus,
the information on the topic: What is the meaning of life ?

First, the question "What is life ?"

We receive different answers from five groups of people - namely
from optimists, realists, pessimists, humorists, and Christians.

The optimist says, "Life is beautiful."

The realist: "Life is worth living."

The pessimist laments: "Life is short and shitty like a chicken ladder."

The humorist summarises it as follows:

"Life is a disease transmitted by sex - but can be prevented by condoms
and which ultimately ends deadly one day. "

The Christian knows and explains:

"Human life on this earth is for God to educate and test us."

The Christian has already hit the nail on its head, for his
statement already includes two good reasons why we live.

But what is the meaning of life ?

Many scholars and students have already dealt with this question
and gave hundreds of explanations - but unfortunately so incomprehensible,
that they can not give a guide for everyday life.

God has clearly told us humans in the Bible through easy-to-understand words,
what he has given us as a task for our life here on this earth:

We are to make use of this life so that we are taught through God's education
for the eternal life in his kingdom.

God can not do anything in his kingdom with ruthless,
egotistical and inexperienced people.

That is why he gives every man here on this earth the possibility,
to think about his own life and to research in the Bible,
how God imagines a roommate of his eternal kingdom.

Then you should change your life so that you seriously try to live by God's rules already on this earth,
as it is demanded of you in heaven.

"Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven."
(Matthew 6/10)

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Jesus Christ summarises the meaning of life with very few words in one sentence:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God ..."
(Matthew 6/33)

(To seek after something means to want it or
to strive with all your heart and with all your strength.)

The kingdom of heaven is not thrown after us, and we are
not carried into it - but we must "fight" for it.
We can not "earn" it ourselves -
but we can easily "lose" it.

(For further information, please refer to the cleartext point 001.)

Jesus Christ said:

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate (into eternal life):
for many, I say unto you, will seek (try) to enter in, and shall not be able."
(Luke 13/24)

If it were so easy to get into God's kingdom as it is promised by many preachers,
It would not only be the few people who are mentioned by Jesus who are able to do it -
but it would be billions.

But Jesus Christ said,

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many (men) there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto (eternal) life, and (only) few there be that find it (this narrow path to eternal life) (And then actually go on this path)."
(Matthew 7/13-14)

Please also read the cleartext point 015.
There you will learn that it is very difficult to get into God's kingdom.

Please read the above-mentioned cleartext point 001, how you will be saved on the Last Day.

If you're on the right track, do not feel too safe,
but always keep in mind that Satan will always try,
to lead you to surrender or to doubt.

Read the cleartext point 062 about perseverance and doubt.

Only if you bravely endure until your last breath on this earth,
you will receive eternal life as a coronation for your efforts.

Jesus Christ promises:

"... but he that endureth to the end shall be saved (he will have eternal life)."
(Matthew 10/22 and similar in Matthew 24/13)

"Blessed is the man (and, of course, the woman) that endureth (resists) temptation:
for when he is tried (after extinguishing God's examinations [see cleartext point 023]),
he shall receive the crown of (eternal) life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."
(James 1/12)

The Lord promises you:

"... be thou faithful (to God and Jesus) unto death (stand bravely till your end),
and I will give thee a crown of life (ie eternal life in God's kingdom)."
(Revelation 2/10)

Jesus' promise is based on the "if - then principle"
which is often used in the word of the Lord.
In this case, it means: If you are faithful and brave -
then you will get eternal life in God's kingdom.

(Please read about the "if - then - principle" also the cleartext point 170.)

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Through (often very hard) examinations, God will test you again and again on this earth
(and watch closely) whether you really mean it.

Please also read the already mentioned cleartext point 023. Its title:
God observes and examines people during their lives on this earth.

Satan will always try to dissuade you from the straight path.
Even if you make mistakes - God looks into your heart,
whether you are really trying to live your life according to his rules,
indications, laws, bids and warnings.
When he realises that you are really trying hard,
then he will help you to change,
so that after a while you will say in retrospect of your life so far:
"This man was I once ?"

With God's help, you will make it !

"Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard,
and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."
(Philippians 4/9)

"... Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good."
(2 Chronicles 19/11)

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called ..."
(1.Timothy 6/12)

"... I have set before you life (eternal life with God)
and death (the eternal damnation with Satan),
blessing (in paradise) and cursing (in hell): therefore choose life ..."
(Deuteronomy 30/19)

"Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life (the eternal life in God's kingdom),
and the way of death (eternal damnation)."
(Jeremiah 21/8)

"Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant."
(Jeremiah 11/3)

(Please read also the cleartext point 071 on the subject: Obey God.)

"Behold, I set before you (for selection) this day a blessing and a curse;
A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
which I command you this day: And a curse,
if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day ..."
(Deuteronomy 11/26-28)

Two more reasons why we live on this earth:

So that we can choose one of these two ways:

Eternal life - or eternal damnation.

If we choose God's way, then he would like to test us on this earth during our lifetime,
whether we have a real interest in him, in Jesus Christ and in eternal life.

Besides, we live here on this earth,
that we may learn God's laws,
and practice putting these laws into action.

For this ability is the basic prerequisite,
to live in the kingdom of God.

Whoever has no serious interest to put all the laws of God into practice on this earth,
will also have no interest to live according to God's laws in God's kingdom.

Jesus Christ taught us that God's will must always be kept.
No matter whether in heaven - or on this earth:

"Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven."
(Matthew 6/10)

"... not my will, but thine, be done."
(Luke 22/42)

Now ask yourself: Are you doing God's will ?

Are you trying wholeheartedly to put all his laws into practice ?

This is God's will !

"... The will of the Lord be done."
(Acts 21/14)

In paradise, God can not educate people.
For what is to be done with those who have indeed entered the kingdom of God,
but then do not want to keep the laws of God ?
God can not "throw" out anyone of his kingdom.
It is, after all, eternal life.
God promised.
And what he promises, he keeps !

"For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth." (guaranteed)
(Psalm 33/4)

So the education for his kingdom, and finally God's selection,
whom he wishes to have for his eternal kingdom, has to be done here on this earth.

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Another reason we live in this world:

We should ask for God and seek him !

"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God."
(Psalm 14/2 and similarly also Psalm 53/3)

People live on this earth -

"That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him,
and find him, though he be not far from every one of us."
(Acts 17/27)

In cleartext point 014 you can read that this
"Looking for God" is even vital for us.

Whoever seriously asks and looks for God is also really interested in learning,
what God expects and demands of us. This is important to understand,
what God wants to achieve with his laws.

But only those who read in God's Word (the Bible) what God and Jesus got
to tell him (or her) is experiencing the full truth first hand.

"... they received the word (of God) with all readiness of mind,
and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
(Acts 17/11)

Whoever only records what other people tell and explain,
knows God only from hearing.

"I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear ..."
(Job 42/5)

"... and they have not known the LORD."
(Hosea 5/4)

There is also the risk that preachers will not tell their listeners the full truth,
so as not to frighten their "lambs". So they read half-truths from the bible.

In cleartext point 106, you learn how half-truths stun people.

Do not let yourself be dumbed down, but read for yourself in your bible - often and much.

If you say (or think) that you barely - or have no time to read the bible
(and illustratively, in this cleartext info)
then I would like to recommend you the already mentioned cleartext point 005.

Please refer to the cleartext point 003, how you can understand the bible.

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Another reason we live on this earth:

We should learn to do a lot of good things here !

This ability will be very important in God's kingdom.
If someone expects to be well in paradise,
then he (or she) must also be willing to do good.

For where does the good come from when no one does it ?

On this earth, therefore, people are not doing well,
because there are many who are not willing to do good,
but only selfishly thinking about them.

But such people do not enter into God's kingdom.
And when there are only the people who put their own
wishes and needs aside,
to do good to other people, then everyone will be fine -
because the other people do them good again.
Thus comes the good which one gives back to oneself,
through the good deeds of other people.

What here on earth is only theory, but can never become reality,
that is complete normality in the kingdom of God.

Why will it work there - but not here ?
Because on this earth there is the influence of Satan.
In God's kingdom, however, there is no longer this disturbing factor.
But to completely exclude the negative things,
God would like to educate all the future inhabitants of His kingdom to righteous people.

That is why we should already be trained here on this earth for eternal life.

The rules (the instruction) for the training are found in God's Word, the bible !

That is why it is so important to read intensively in it -
And then actually accept the advice of God and Jesus Christ.
To make this easier for people, I have written this cleartext info.

"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth (permanently) good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD."
(Psalm 14/2-4 and similarly also Psalm 53/3-5)

"As it is written, There is none righteous (who lives as a righteous), no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way (from God's instructions),
they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good (permanently),
no, not one."
(Romans 3/10-12)

We should learn to live as the righteous live.
(Who are the righteous, and how they behave,
you can find out in the cleartext point 047.)

God wants us to understand what he asks us to do.
Only then will we not be patronised and feel pressured - but recognise,
that this is the only way to live a good life with other people.

To convey this understanding, I have written this cleartext info.

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
(Micha 6/8)

- 7 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

We should learn to keep his laws and commandments.
(You will find these laws in cleartext point 129.)

We should practice charity.
(For this purpose, please read the cleartext point 080.)

And we should learn humility.
(For this purpose please read the cleartext point 072.)

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment,
with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
(Ecclesiastes 12/13-14)

We should learn the fear of God. Please read therefore the cleartext point 025.

The real reasons why we live here on this earth are therefore
quite different reasons than most people think.
They enjoy the moment - but rarely worry about, what expects them after death.

But this is very short-sighted !

We are warned about this in God's Word. We should (and must)
think about the end of our lives on this earth.

"LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is ..."
(Psalm 39/4)

"So teach us to number our days (to remember that we have to die),
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."
(Psalm 90/12)

With this "wisdom" God doesn´t mean the scholarly education,
but we should prepare ourselves in this life, on this earth
and change characteristically, that God can really use us for his eternal kingdom
and would really like to have us in his realm.

Only those who think about death have the opportunity to achieve this.

However, who enjoys life on this earth to the fullest,
and suppresses death from his (her) thoughts,
will never find God and Jesus Christ.

So behave wisely by thinking about it - and by reading the Bible
(as well as in my cleartext info) what awaits you at the end of this life.

In cleartext point 075 you can read a lot about wisdom and intelligence.

I would like to recommend you the cleartext point 057.
It is about death - and what comes after it.
Its title:
How can you make sure that the grief about a love one around you
does not throw you out of line ?

Whoever is concerned with the subject of death, when grief is still far off,
will realise that death is not the end, but merely a section
of our lives - a "transit door" - a "new beginning".

Summary of why we live on this earth.

   We should:

- according to Jesus "seek the kingdom of God"

- persist - and not surrender or doubt (see cleartext point 062)

- pass God's examinations (see cleartext point 023)

- learn the fear of God (see cleartext point 025)

- ask for God and seek him (see cleartext point 014)

- learn to live the way the righteous live (see cleartext point 047)

- Learn humility (see cleartext point 072)

- use this life to be guided through God's exhortations and his education for the
eternal life in his kingdom (see cleartext points 066 und 067)

-learn to do good in this world (see cleartext point 144)

- practice charity (see cleartext point 080)

- and we should put Jesus' orders into action.

- God wants us to understand what he asks us to do.

- We live here on this earth so that we can learn God's laws (see cleartext point 129),
and practice putting these laws into action (see cleartext points 010, 012 and 016).

- 9 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

What are Jesus' orders to us to fulfil ?

Jesus Christ describes us three outstanding things,
in which he recognises and enjoys his own (the true Christians)

1. It is especially noticeable to him, if someone does personal renunciation,
to do what the Lord expects from us.
(Please read this in cleartext point 092.)

I would also like to recommend you the cleartext point 149. Its title:
Should Christians abandon everything - and only "mope" ?

2. Jesus expects us to help the needy through this personal renunciation.
In this way, we do not only save any foreign people in Africa or Asia -
but we save Jesus personally.

He explains this to us as follows:

"... Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren (your fellow men),
ye have done it unto me."
(Matthew 25/40)

If you really love the Lord Jesus with all your heart, could you then really take a great step
over him when he is half starved or thirsty ?

Certainly not, but you would help him intensively - even then,
if you have to give up something pleasurable for his sake !

So help the needy in the third world by practising personal renunciation,
because you will help Jesus !

Save Jesus from starving and thirsting !

Become active !

Do not look to the right and the left, how other people behave, whether they help - or not.

The Lord will see your deeds and works.

On the last day of your life,
you will be held accountable for your behaviour.

Now you do not have to travel to Africa or Asia to the truly needy of this world
to help. Leave this to the professional charity organisations. They succeed,
to provide help where it is most needed.

It is important, however, that you choose a reliable organisation.

How you can find a reliable charity organisation - and how you recognise it, you learn,
if you click in the alphabetically arranged search terms: reliable charity organisations.

Two things you have already learned, which are particularly important in the eyes of Jesus:

1. To renounce, in order to make time and money for the Lord.

2. Do good to the poor, sick, and needy.

And now the third mission with which you can "score" with Jesus Christ:

By executing his command, the mission command.

- 10 -

⇑ Here back to top of page ⇑

Very important to know:

It doesn't matter to the spreading of God's Word,
If you talk to already believing people
or entertain Christians about God and Jesus.

They already know. It is important
to talk about God and Jesus to those, which
know almost nothing about them -
but have an interest in the Lord and in his kingdom.
Those are the ones you're supposed to talk to.

Jesus explained this as follows:

"... They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
(Luke 5/31-32)

"... They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
(Mark 2/17 and similar to Matthew 9/12-13)

Make sure, that the words of the Lord are brought to the "sick people"
so that also they can "recover" spiritually and walk the right path in the future !

Concerning this you have different possibilities:

You can sacrifice time - and place yourself somewhere,
to tell somewhat about God and Jesus to the hastening passers-by.

But how many people you think would stop to listen to you ?

50 ?

100 ?

Or even 1,000 ?

If you have quite big luck, then maybe one or two.

The next question: How long would they listen to you ?

There is a quite easier and more efficient possibility,
how you can bring home the words of God and Jesus to those,
which still are not Christians, but have serious interest in it:

Instead of sacrificing time, you could also sacrifice money to spread Jesus' words.
Because there is the possibility, to bring the words of God and Jesus to many really interested people:
namely by this cleartext infos.

You are able to do this, as already other active Christians do and participate in supporting this homepage financially (no matter with which amount and no matter whether unique or regularly) for the reliable and very efficient Internet advertisement.

With 40 cents in each case, one succeeds guaranteed in leading a new reader to this homepage.

This is the advantage of the special Internet advertisement "Google-AdWords".
It must be paid only for success. Further information concerning this you get,
if you click the donation link (some lines below).

You do not help with this donation, that I live a luxurious life, or buy myself
the latest car (I do not drive a car anymore for the environment), but
you're funding Google AdWords to bring readers to this site,
so that they may know the words of God and Jesus.

By doing this, you will be active for God and Jesus - so you become a perpetrator of the Word.

You then serve God and Jesus - just as the task of a true Christian is.

Very, very many believers or "Christians" are of the opinion,
that their "dear God" is responsible for doing them good,
to help them - to serve them - while they merely
pray and lament the Lord's praises.

But God says hard and honest to these name Christians:

"I ... will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
... neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs ... "
(Amos 5/21-23)

The Lord does not wish any people to sing songs,
but on the other side "shines" only by passivity -
But he wishes:

"... a peculiar people, zealous of good works."
(Titus 2/14)

If someone wants to honour God with songs, then there is no objection. But the one
should ask beforehand whether it is not at least as important,
to honour the Lord as we are told in the Bible:

"Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits (with the first ten per cent) of all thine increase:"
(Proverbs 3/9)

What doesn´t hurt the "Christians" (because it costs nothing), they do like (singing praises)-
But what hurts genuinely (giving the Lord his tithe),
they don´t want to know anything about it - they are pushing it out - they find excuses.

Please read the cleartext point 094 on the topic firstfruits (God´s tithes).

We must recognise that God is the Lord, and we have to serve him - and not the other way round.

Whoever has understood this - and does it, the one
can fully reckon that God and Jesus
will always be helpful.

Jesus Christ said to his disciples Simon (Peter) and Andrew:

"... I will make you fishers of men."
(Matthew 4/19 and Mark 1/17)

So I beg you: Be a fisher of men too !

"And he brought him to Jesus."
(John 1/42)

Also, lead man to Jesus Christ and to His Word.

"... and much people was added unto the Lord."
(Acts 11/24)

You too can help to win many people for the Lord,
by taking care that they find this cleartext information
In the giant internet, with the Google Ad AdWords through your donation.

Please help actively to "fish" the people interested in God and Jesus from the internet,
before they get stuck in the clutches of false preachers and their half-truths.
Satan would be the victor.

Do you want that ?

Attention !

Most likely you will hear deeply in your innermost a voice that tells you quite softly:

"Do not give your money ! Do not help in spreading God's word !"

Whether Jesus or the Holy Spirit will tell you this ?

No - Satan tries to stop you.

Do you want to obey him ?

If you want to help to spread the Word of God with a donation- here you will find information.

We Christians - also you - received the order from our Lord Jesus,
to make his words known to other people - and to explain to them,
what God and Jesus expect of us humans. This is even a commandment of Jesus -
The so-called mission command (read also the cleartext point 030).

Always remember the warning of Jesus Christ.
He said:

"He that is not with me is against me;
and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."
(Matthew 12/30 and Luke 11/23)

Whoever does not "gather" for the eternal kingdom through the spreading of God's Word,
is against Jesus Christ - because of he (or she) "scattereth".

This is fully in the sense of Satan - you must be aware of this !

Do you want (through your passivity) to serve Satan (without actually meaning to) ?

In the bible, we are very often exhorted and encouraged to become perpetrators of God's Word.
(Please read this in cleartext points 010, 012 and 016.)

Through our deeds and works, we can show the Lord (that is, prove him) that we love and serve him.

In cleartext point 023, you learn that the Lord is watching and examining us during our earthly life.

Whoever does not serve God can not do much on the day of judgment -
Or rather, not expect anything from him.

This can be read in the following statement:

"Then shall ye return (on Judgement day), and discern between the righteous and the wicked,
between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not."
(Malachi 3/18)

But remember:

On the last day, it is too late - you can not change anything or make up !
No one knows when and how suddenly his personal end comes.

Therefore my advice:

Do not "shelf" anything, but become a culprit of God's word -
Otherwise, you are deceiving yourself by thinking that you will enter into God's kingdom on the last day - but then must learn, that you are not welcome there,
because through your passivity you have served Satan.

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
(James 1/22)

Put all your efforts to prove the Lord that you have a genuine faith -
And not just a dead faith.

"For as the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without works is dead also."
(James 2/26)

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."
(James 2/17)

But something dead is totally worthless !

Plain, clear words are spoken (or written) here- exactly,
as the name of the homepage already announces: "Jesus-in-cleartext".

Please do not consider these hard words as a threat -
This is the pure and blunt truth.

Only the full truth leads you into God's kingdom.

Jesus says:

"... the truth shall make you free."
(John 8/32)

In the cleartext-point 064, you can read how a felt compulsion becomes voluntarism, just by rethinking. The title of this cleartext point is:
How does become: "You must ...!" - a voluntary: "I want ...!" - ?

In cleartext point 041 you find out everything, what is meant by "serving God". You get there by clicking on the following link.

Here you get to cleartext point 041 about the topic: serving God.

Recommended advice: Here to cleartext point 064 (from constraint to voluntariness).

Serve the Lord with deeds and prove him your love. - Here to the call for donations.
